Runners of “The Silk Road Run” set out from the Nanshan Temple at Mt. Wutai in Shanxi Province in 7th Aug 2010. “The Silk Road Run” was held to publicize Chinese historical and humanistic culture with long-distance running in different scenic spots, which was initiated in 1996 by Sport Development & Performance Organization (SDPO).
